Cancellation POLICY

Effective Date: 12/2/2024
Last updated: 12/23/2024

At For The Brand Marketing, we take pride in the time, energy, and resources we dedicate to every project. Once a proposal is accepted—whether verbally, in writing, or by email—we consider that project officially in motion and begin planning accordingly.

Commitment & Preparation

From the moment a project is confirmed, we begin:

  • Coordinating team members (videographers, photographers, editors, project leads)

  • Reserving equipment and setting aside studio and production days

  • Blocking off calendars and declining other work for the scheduled time frame

  • Engaging in strategy meetings, planning sessions, and coordination efforts

This internal commitment ensures our clients receive the highest level of quality and attention, but it also means that short-notice cancellations result in real opportunity loss for our team.

Cancellation Terms

We require a minimum of 15 days’ written notice for any project cancellation. Cancellations made with fewer than 15 days’ notice will result in the following fees:

  • 15 days or more prior to the project start date:
A 20% cancellation fee of the total project cost will be invoiced to cover pre-production, scheduling, and time invested up to that point.

  • 8–14 days prior to the start date:
A 30% cancellation fee will apply.

  • 7 days or less before the start date:
A 50% cancellation fee will apply.

  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows:
A 75% cancellation fee may apply if travel, staffing, or resources were already deployed.

These fees reflect the time and energy already spent across multiple departments, including but not limited to strategy, planning, communication, internal team coordination, and pre-production.

Non-Performance Clause

We believe that time spent—whether or not a final deliverable is produced—should be compensated. This applies especially to strategy, consultation, and pre-production hours logged prior to any cancellation. If a project is terminated after work has begun, clients will be invoiced accordingly for time already invested.

Legal & Industry Alignment

This policy aligns with industry-standard practices across creative, marketing, and media production fields. We also operate fully under Texas state law, and uphold fair service agreement expectations between businesses and clients.

We encourage all clients to review project scopes and scheduling carefully before confirming. Once a project is accepted and scheduled, we treat it with full priority and commitment—and we trust our partners to respect that process.
